FRACTIONAL LASER FOR SKIN REJUVENTATION
* Before & After results may vary from person to person.
REDUCE PIGMENTATION WHILE ALSO REJUVENATING YOUR SKIN FROM THE INSIDE OUT.
WHAT IS A FRACTIONAL LASER TREATMENT?
Fractional laser skin resurfacing creates microscopic entries in your skin and then your body takes care of the rest. The tiny thermal holes are made without destroying surrounding tissue, allowing the affected areas to quickly heal and remodel your skin’s collagen. The lasers stimulate a natural healing process that works from the inside out, replacing damaged tissue with younger, smoother, healthier skin.
Fractional laser treatments with our Halo, Fraxel, Infini or traditional C02 lasers resurfaces your damaged skin to uncover the skin of your youth, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles as well as pigmentation. Deeper fractional laser treatments can also be used to reduce the appearance of acne scarring.
WHY VICTORIA PARK MEDISPA?
Victoria Park Medispa Winnipeg is proud to offer Halo, Fraxel, Infini and traditional C02 laser for optimum treatment selection for our clients. Each laser has slightly different properties with C02 laser providing deeper results but longer downtime following treatment.
Because we offer many proven solutions for skin rejuvenation, we work to ensure that you get the treatment that is right for you, or combination that is right for you, not just the treatment we happen to have.
HOW LONG IS A FRACTIONAL LASER TREATMENT?
Depending on the starting point and desired result, clients may have one to four treatments of approximately thirty to sixty minutes. Treatments for pigmentation usually require one or two visits while treatments for texture, scars, stretch marks, and wrinkles, generally take two to four visits.
Following a fractional CO2 or Fraxel treatment, clients can expect three to seven days of downtime of “sunburn-type” redness followed by exfoliation of dead skin before their rejuvenated skin is fully healed. Multiple treatments are scheduled at two or three-week intervals and clients need only avoid sun exposure between them.
HOW SOON CAN I SEE RESULTS?
As the treated skin breaks though the old skin, a fresh layer of new skin is revealed without the same problems of the old skin. This usually take about a week.
HOW DOES IT FEEL?
We provide numbing cream on the area and on occasion inject lidocaine for total freezing so that only minimal pain is not felt during treatment. Following treatment, clients compare the downtime to feeling to a sunburn lasting 5 – 7 days.
HOW DO I GET STARTED?
A consultation for a fractional laser treatment with one of our highly trained laser technicians is free. We get to understand your skin type, discuss your goals, review before and after photos, and decide on a treatment plan together.
WILL I BE ABLE TO WORK DURING MY DOWNTIME?
A fractional laser treatment is our only laser treatment with significant downtime. For four to seven days following treatment, you will look like you have a sunburn as your old skin shed and your new skin comes through. We have photos we can show you during consultation that show the typical progression of recovery.
There is nothing preventing you from working, but many clients choose to work from home or take a vacation week during their recovery period.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN FRAXEL, HALO, INFINI AND C02 LASERS?
C02 fractional lasers are known as ablative lasers that go deeper into the dermis whereas Fraxel is known as an ebrium that penetrates less deeply. Halo is a hybrid laser that can be set to do both while Infini laser combines Microneedling with High Intensity Focused RF (Radiofrequency) technology.
C02 fractional lasers can have a bigger impact but has more downtime. These ablative fractional treatments are used for more serious skin rejuvenation issues or for clients that don’t mind longer downtime with fewer treatments.
